The New York Times ran a story over the weekend about two more unfortunate recession victims: A Hoboken couple who wanted to move to a bigger place, so they bought a home in the Maxwell Place development on the waterfront. Because of the recession, they didn’t have enough money to continue the transaction after putting in a whopping $93,000 deposit – so they’ll lose all the money. Ouch.
