Performances spanning from dramatic works over the last 100 years will be performed by 35 High Tech High School Students from throughout Hudson County at their evening of theatre classics.
“Our Town” will depict America at the turn of the century, while “The Bear” while delve into the Russian Revolution. Students will also act out scenes from “One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and depict “Steel Magnolias.”
Senior and junior drama majors, as well as students from the after-school program LEAP, will perform wearing the garb of that time. Parents have even spent a few Saturdays designing the set.
Matinee performances are on March 19 and 21 at 3 p.m., while evening performances will be held on March 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. at the school’s black box theatre. Tickets are $5 for matinee and $10 for evening shows. For more information on the show or purchasing tickets call (201) 662-6800. – T.T.
