LISA, MARIA

A funeral mass was offered March 11 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Maria Lisa, 81, of Hoboken. Known to all as “Marietta,” she passed away March 8 at Hoboken University Hospital. She was born in Monte San Giacomo, Italy, and immigrated to Hoboken in 1951. She was a retired seamstress with various Hoboken clothing manufacturers for many years. She was a member of the Monte San Giacomo Ladies Guild, and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She is survived by her husband Domenico Lisa. She was predeceased by her sister Lina Caporrino and two brothers, Michael and Joseph Rizzo. She shared a very close relationship with her sisters-in-law, Jennie and Angelina Rizzo, and her late brothers-in-law, Peter Lisa and Raffaele Capporino. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Angelo, Joanne and Anthony Lisa, Anna Marie, James and Frank Rizzo, Marie Pfaff, and Lena Liegel, and several great nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
