Jean Quinn has been appointed president of Habitat for Humanity of Hudson County. As president, Quinn will manage the chapter’s efforts to raise money and coordinate construction of two homes on Ocean Ave. in Jersey City and begin construction on Woodlawn Ave. in Jersey City and on Kearny Ave. in Kearny, and bring awareness to the organization. Quinn is also vice president of corporate communications for The Provident Bank and will use her skill set to assist with the chapter’s public relations efforts. “I am honored to be working with this wonderful organization,” said Quinn. “Habitat for Humanity has helped so many people and families across the nation and around the world, and we are excited to expand our efforts throughout the Hudson County community.” Quinn has been a Provident employee for 10 years. In her role as vice president of corporation communications, she ensures that a clear message is shared throughout the organization through Provident’s Intranet site and award-winning monthly employee publication, Provident Inside. She is also responsible for managing the bank’s events and public relations efforts. She holds a master’s degree from Thomas Edison State College and is a graduate of the National School of Banking at Fairfield University. Established in 2004, Habitat for Humanity Hudson County works in partnership with volunteers to build and renovate affordable housing for local residents in need.
