Hospital running on backup generator

After a snow plow along River Road knocked down power lines this morning, Palisade Medical Center has been running on a backup generator, said a PSE&G spokeswoman Monday morning.
At 7:42 a.m., the snow plow became entangled in the power lines and pulled them from a utility pole. The spokeswoman said that crews were currently out making repairs, and that normal power was expected to return by the afternoon.
