MEMORIES OF PEARL HARBOR IN HUDSON COUNTY

A gathering of officials and veterans commemorated the 67th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 7:48 a.m., the time the first bombs were dropped in 1941. Pictured left to right are Chief of Staff/Jersey City Councilman William Gaughan; Sheriff Juan M. Perez; Mayor Jerramiah Healy; Robert Eakin, 88 years old, of Bayonne and Frank Wasniewski, 89 years old, of Jersey City who both served in Pearl Harbor at the time of the bombings; Governor Jon Corzine and Former Bayonne Freeholder and Director the Hudson County Veterans Affairs Barry Dugan.
