Stamp prices to rise May 11

Yes, this is a bit of old news, but not everyone knows, so we thought we’d tell you. First-class stamps are going up from 42 cents to 44 cents on May 11. But if you buy “Forever Stamps” (pictured) at the current rate, they’ll be good…forever! (Supposedly.)
The post office says: “Customers can continue to mail letters at today’s price by purchasing the Forever Stamp before May 11. The Forever Stamp is always honored for a one-ounce letter with no need for additional postage. Forever really does mean forever.”
They also say: “For the average American household, the two-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail stamp represents only an additional three dollars over the course of the year.”
