Dear Editor:
I am responding to the nose up in the air Collins letter of February 1st.
The parking privileges on the streets of Weehawken are for residents who have no driveways. The threat of double parking by Collins is a joke; I wish I had a driveway!
It is clearly obvious that these homeowners are duds when it comes to using their driveways. These vehicles should be ticketed for not parking in their driveways! The time limits for non- resident parking should be from 10 a.m. thru 4 p.m. This would give the town to act upon non- residents a longer window to ticket these violators. After all doesn’t this town need additional income? I’ve seen many p.m. commuters parking here and getting on a bus in the afternoons as well.
Another thing should be done and that’s color coding all residents accordingly. That means anyone with a driveway should receive a different color. Then when their vehicles are on the streets with empty driveways, ticket them too.
