CANTATORE, MICHELE. Services for Michele Cantatore, 88, of Hoboken were Oct. 30 at St. Joseph’s Church, East Rutherford. He died at home Oct. 27. Born in Molfetta, Italy, Cantatore moved to Hoboken in 1937 before moving to Carlstadt 38 years ago. Cantatore worked for 30 years at the Army Corps of Engineers at Caven Point, Jersey City, retiring in 1985. He received three Bronze Stars for his service in World War II, serving with the 331st Infantry in Normandy. Survivors include his wife, Lucrezia (Minervini) Cantatore; two sons, Saverio, and his wife, Gloria, and Vito, and his wife Angela; a brother, Giuseppe; a sister, Grazia; and four grandsons.
