VELEZ, LAURENTINA. Mass for Laurentina Velez Ruiz, 77, of North Bergen, was held Sept. 16 at St. Augustine Church, Union City. She died Sept. 13 at Compassionate Care Hospice at the Atrium, Jersey City. Born in Palencia, Spain, she has lived in North Bergen since 1958. Ruiz was a personal assistant. Survivors include a son, Andrew; and three sisters, Fidela, Hortensia and Germana.
