PISERCHIA CARMELA

PISERCHIA CARMELA. Mass for Carmela (LaPadula) Piserchia,79, a native and lifelong resident of Jersey City, was held Sept. 15 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Jersey City. She died Sept. 7 at her daughter’s home in San Antonio, Texas.
Piserchia was a manager at the dental store at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey for 30 years, retiring in 1990. She was a Eucharistic minister at St. Paul the Apostle Church, a volunteer at St. Ann’s Home, a den mother for Our Lady of Sorrows Cub Scout Pack and the coach of the Greenville National Little League Bayside Park team. She was a Yankees fan. Survivirs include a daughter, Debra Conkelton, and her husband Cliff; two sons, Louis Piserchia, and his wife Sara, and Guy Piserchia, and his wife Sandy; two sisters, Mary Bratta and Barbara Brady; two brothers, Joseph and John LaPadula; an aunt, Grace Dempsky; and nine grandchildren, Seth, Justin, Nathan, Michaela, Chelsea, Guy, Christin, Kelly and Caitlin.
