Dear Editor:
Here we are again, another year gone by. First we would like to thank the many people that donated last year helping us to collect over 1,500 coats and sweaters for the less fortunate. Also we want to thank all those who donated canned and dry goods to our Annual Food for Animals Drive; our two animal shelters here in Hudson County were so thankful and appreciative that so many people do care.
Our coat give away is on Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16; so if you or anyone of your family or friends would like to donate, you can drop them off at 2112 Bergenline Ave. or call 201-865-0383 or 201-865-2169, and we will arrange to pick them up. You may only think it’s a used coat but to someone in need it means so much that people really do care. This is the American way; we all at one time or another went through hard times.
If you need a coat or know someone that needs one, you can pick one up September 15 at 11 a.m. thru 2:30 p.m. at 4113 Palisade Ave., Union City, or Sunday, September 16 at Smith Civic Association, Jersey City, from 10:30 am. to 1:30 p.m.
Again we would like to thank all that have helped us to help others in the past.
