Dear Editor:
On Saturday, August 27, 2005, Applied Housing held its 33rd annual block party for all tenants of Applied Housing. As usual, it was a great success. This annual event is planned and run by the staff of Applied Housing and requires a lot of hard work. However, we find that it is worth it because it provides a chance for the tenants and the staff to interact on a social and non-professional level.
I am very grateful for the staff of Applied Hosing, especially those that stood from beginning to end with me. I would also like to thank the superintendents for their hard work to ensure the success of this party. I would like to especially thank the City of Hoboken for giving us the permission to close the street; the members of the City of Hoboken Administration, Police Department (Chief Carmen LaBruno) and especially all those police officers that were there until the end of the party, providing safety and security. Also I would like to thank the Fire Department for their presence at the party.
