Dear Editor:
As we approach the 2005 football season and former Hoboken High School Head Coach Ed Stinson begins his position as William Paterson University’s defensive coordinator, I would like to say something publicly about his stay at Hoboken. Thank you, Ed, for the “all access” to the program, for the friendship and the invaluable care and concern during a recent health situation of mine.
On another level, I have been around football coaches at all levels for decades – some of them icons on the collegiate scene, and I have no compunctions in saying that Coach Stinson is the best I have ever seen.
Finally, Ed, thank you for all those fabulous fall football Friday nights in Hoboken. Sincerely,
