I was overjoyed to read your recent coverage of the plans to create a professional, nonprofit Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts Center in Weehawken. This area could not be more ideal for such an enterprise. The idea of quality arts and entertainment in such a perfect setting without the hassle or prices of Manhattan is certainly one whose time has come. I’m certain there is a large, varied and eager audience for an arts center such as this one.
I only hope that the support and resources can be found to realize such an ambitious and worthwhile undertaking. I personally encourage all arts-loving residents of the Northern New Jersey area to show their support for this exciting and welcome venture – beginning with attendance at the free summer concerts – so that we can bring the idea of a first performing arts center in our own back yard to fruition. – Robert Shaffron, Weehawken

YOUNG GUY 2: Is it a BMX?
YOUNG GUY 1: This frame is too thin for a mountain bike.
YOUNG GUY 2: Too thin? What are you talking about?
DRUNK GUY IN SUIT: Guys, honestly, does it really [expletive] matter what the hell kind of a bike it is?
YOUNG GUY 1: I want to know what the deal is so the next time I don’t make a mistake!
YOUNG GUY 2: You’re going to make a mistake anyway.
DRUNK GUY IN SUIT (to friend): Hell, I’m still good enough to break up a bike fight.
