A special letter from Angelo

Dear Editor:

Hello folks. Today I wish to dispel anyone’s doubt as to my insanity. Today a special day, as I write while listening to our illustrious commander-in-chief Pres. Bush, Jr. skillfully praising F.D.R. while at Washington DC, using every scheme to destroy Social Security, the duplicity is cause to vomit.

I see all the veterans both individually and in organizational representatives and the church representative, specially selected from the blacks because they could not locate a white man of the cloth to give the benediction. Everyone in full regalia to lend legitimacy knowing full well that as the next business day dawns, they will all be back where they continually dwell with their palms stuck out demanding the next handout. What misguided hypocrites they be. J.F.K. would vomit too.

I did not volunteer for the distinguished military. I was drafted and if that’s any consolation I feel proud that it never did and never will enter my alleged mind to kill for money. (Gen. Vesey just claimed on the idiot box that this celebration was not to glorify war.) What the devil does he think he will be called on in committing his total life goal in pursuit of attaining the rank of general when the time comes. Perhaps mix malted milks or dole out cups of overrated Starbucks coffee? Does any sane person really believe that celebrating and building memorials is not tantamount to rewarding humans to kill other humans and awaiting the next memorial celebration. As a veteran I wish I had those three years back and thoroughly regret having had to harm another member of the human race, regardless of race, color, breed, conviction and every other oddball category. Every day I try to put those days out of my memory, for when I see the person I have become through hard labor and pursuit of wisdom at home, more intensive that any American college is offering, generally, with ill funded so called schools offered by the wealthiest nation, another chance to vomit, presents itself.

You are invited to accuse me of megalomania when I brag that one of the greatest laughs I experience is when I watch Tim Russert and others of his dubious profession upon interviewing dignitaries show how overvalued and overpaid they really are. With all the years of experience they are unable to muster any incisive enough questions to destroy their guests arguments or postulations. I constantly find myself, like Cyrano de Bergerac, able easily to rise to the occasion, even without that magic paper they call the cure-all, a diploma. Now do you still doubt my obvious insanity? I ask you.
