Maxwell’s has Grant-Lee Phillips (formerly of Grant Lee Buffalo) with John Doe and The Whole Damned Band, 8:30 p.m., $15. It’s happy hour all night at both Oddfellows locations – Hoboken and Jersey City. Scotland Yard in Hoboken has an open blues jam with Big Ed Sullivan, 9:30 p.m.

Maxwell’s has Oregon-based literary popsters The Decemberists with Seattle band The Long Winters, 9 p.m., $12. Noel Smyth performs at the Goldhawk, 9 p.m. And it’s Ski Club Night at Willie McBride’s, starting at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, June 9:
San Francisco-based singer-songwriter-pianist Vienna Teng plays Maxwell’s with Tony Lucca at 9 p.m., $10. Joe Whyte plays the Goldhawk at 9 p.m. Oddfellows Rest in Hoboken kicks off its new karaoke night, fueled by $4 Hurricanes, 8 p.m. And it’s Swing Night at Willie McBride’s, starting at 7 p.m.
Thursday, June 10:
Maxwell’s has D.C.-based alt-rockers Army of Me with The Kissers and White Collar Crime, 9 p.m., $6. Hello Eden plays the Whiskey Bar at 10 p.m., followed by Rebel Saints at 11:30 p.m. The Baja in Jersey City has salsa night with local band Sammy and his Group, starting at 9 p.m.
Friday, June 11:
Spectacle Experiment, They Fought Back, ICU, and Divest play Uncle Joe’s in Jersey City. Maxwell’s has an early show with Jolie Holland, a singer-songwriter with Texas roots, at 7:30 p.m., $10. Finland’s No. 1 surf band, Laika & the Cosmonauts, and The Brimstones play at 10 p.m., $8. Greg Aulden, a one-man classic-rock act plays at the Baja in Jersey City starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 12:
Boston rockers Baby Strange play Uncle Joe’s in Jersey City with Sparks Fly from a Kiss and The Ankles. Maxwell’s has Jersey City favorites American Watercolor Movement and Julia Vorontsova with Jail Balloon, Back in Spades, and Lou Rogai, 8 p.m., $7.
