Dear Editor:
We would like to express our appreciation to the Hoboken Police Department and especially to Lieutenant James Fitzsimmons for apprehending an intruder who had burglarized our home last week while we were at work.
After breaking into our home, the burglar had stolen most of our jewelry and other valuables. Lieutenant Fitzsimmons, who happens to be a resident of the neighborhood, apprehended the burglar while he was leaving the area carrying a suitcase filled with our belongings. Needless to say, all of our jewelry and other valuables were returned to us. The burglar and his accomplice were both arrested and taken to jail where they belong.
It’s gratifying to know that we have a Police Department that does their job well, and it’s a pleasure knowing that we have a good neighbor like Lieutenant Fitzsimmons. Thanks again, and keep up the good work!
