Dear Editor:
Although I enjoyed Greg Ribot’s satirical letter (“And, in the news…,” February 15), I worry that some humorless Hobokenites might have missed its point about John Corea’s appointment as Parking Utility head.
It’s sad that Mayor Roberts and his handlers lack the basic common sense and integrity that would have ruled out such an individual’s serving in any public position. Anyone who doubts that the proposed parking boss is untrustworthy should check out www.nyse.com/pdfs/93-066.pdf, where a litany of his egregious misdeeds is memorialized (if you don’t have a computer, use the library’s).
Let’s hope the City Council overturns this mayoral folly before the P.U. is embezzled out of significant sums.
John Glasel
