Dear Editor:
I am writing this letter to thank Fourth Ward Councilman Christopher Campos, Director of Human Services Carmelo Garcia and Council President Ruben Ramos, Jr. for hosting their second annual Christmas party. This year’s party brought people from all parts of our community together.
In this time of the year, it is so nice to see people from all ages and backgrounds coming together to celebrate such a precious holiday. At this event, there was excellent food for every taste and many prizes were raffled. The prizes ranged from toys and compact disc players to TVs and DVDs. In addition there was a live band playing the entire night. We are very privileged to have such energetic community leaders doing things each year, unlike most politicians who only come around during an election year.
I’m sure the entire community is honored to have three greatly talented leaders that have helped restore their faith Latino people have in elected officials. I exhort everyone in the community to participate and support such important events. I would like to thank once again this dynamic Trio and ask you to please keep up such empowering work.
