Dear Editor:
The Boys and Girls Club of Hoboken wishes to publicly express our gratitude and appreciation to Jerry Forman for his inexhaustible generosity and unflagging efforts. Jerry volunteers his near-daily contributions of cakes, pastries and breads wherever he perceives they would be welcomed and enjoyed. For us at the Club, this means a frequent treat for our children and usually enough to be shared with staff as well.
Jerry’s kind-hearted dedication to the welfare of his neighbors and friends has become a time-honored tradition. Those of us who live in public housing or whose relatives live in the HHA’s apartment buildings know that he has been supplying goodies for seniors, children and neighbors for many years. In truth we did not approach Jerry for his contributions. Those who know him know that he has a big, soft spot for kids, and his expressed concern was that our members should have birthday cakes to celebrate with their friends.
Many will no doubt join us in wishing for Jerry and his family and his crew of delivery persons a long life filled with boundless joys and endless peace.
