Dear Editor:
Please allow me this opportunity to thank the hundreds of people who attended the wake and funeral Mass for my father, Edward J. Stack, Jr., who passed away this past week.
While my family and I miss Dad very much, it’s very comforting to know that so many people cared enough to stop and pay their respects to a man who cared about everyone. He truly loved this city and its residents and had many, many friends in the community.
Whether you attended the wake, prayed with us at the Mass, sent a card or flowers, or just paused a moment to remember him, thank you all so very much. Your expressions of condolence, sympathy and respect are very much appreciated.
