I ask for your support on Nov. 4 to be your 3rd Ward representative

Dear Editor:

As another election approaches some candidates begin to attack one another, believing it helps one’s own credibility. I am writing to ask your support on November 4, 2003 for election to the City Council as your Third Ward representative. I have served as your Councilperson for the past nine years losing in a runoff-election to a former eight-year Mayor by 100 votes on the machine. I feel the people of the Third Ward who supported me on June 10, expected me to be appointed when the councilperson resigned. I have fought hard trying to bring affordable housing to the Third Ward and was instrumental in an effort to bring Shop Rite to our neighborhood. Some of our parking problems have been addressed with the completion of our midtown garage (300 spaces for residents). I have been the chairperson of the Public Safety for the past four years, and I am proud of our Police and Fire Departments. Our crime rate is down, and police presence is noticeable throughout the city.

Through quality of life initiatives I have worked hard to ensure that the Third Ward received as much attention as the Waterfront. I ask that you support me again as you did in the past. My ballot position will be 8D, and I ask that you allow me to represent you in the future.

Sincerely,
Rosanne Andreula
