Dear 1st Ward neighbors:
By now you probably received all sorts of campaign literature relating to the upcoming local elections, including the one for First Ward Council on May 13. After more than a decade of being a resident to our First Ward building, (and the rewarding pleasures of having served as condo association’s original president) I am pleased that this, my first ever letter to the editor, is an endorsement of Ms. Theresa Castellano, our dedicated Councilwoman for the past eight years.
As a neighbor a few doors down, I know Theresa to be a fine and decent person. As a public servant, her official record speaks for itself: eight consecutive balanced budgets; no tax increase votes; 25 years on Hoboken’s Historic Preservation Commission, etc. I also know Theresa to be generous with her time when it comes to the concerns of her constituents. That being said, feel free to contact her (as I have ) with any questions concerning our First Ward or Hoboken city government in general. Or, if you see her around town, don’t hesitate to say hello to her as I can attest to the pleasant personality that goes with our voice at City Hall.
