Dear Editor:
My daughter is a Marine, Sgt. Yesenia Rosa; right now my heart feels like a big roller coaster with my emotions up and down, when I see my daughter patriotism and feel her heroism yes I’m very proud of her but at the same time I feel hate for the President Bush’s decision to send our children to war.
What ever happened with Osama Bin Laden Hunt? What ever happened to “I want him dead or alive…” Mr. President? We did not loose two buildings; we lost 1000s of lives, parents, relatives, friends, our tranquility and peace of mind.
I wish we had women drafted like some countries in the middle east like Israel so the Bushes could feel the same pain and desperation we have when we see our children departing to war; yes my daughter is very proud to serve her country and she is ready to go, as she told me, ” Mami, this is the life I choose and I like it.” But I do not want to see my daughter in Iraq, I do not want to be one of the hundreds of parents who gets a Flag because they lost a child in a war that has no sense…”Blood For Oil…”
I want to thank all my friends who are calling me to let me know they are praying for my daughter safe by my special thanks to Judy Hamilton and the Good Sheapper Reverend Birgit Solano for their caring and support and my special thanks to Mr. James Marchetti for his understanding. And let’s all pray for peace in the world.
