Light on 13th and Washington still missing

Dear Editor:

[To David Roberts:] enough is enough, two months ago you promised that the light on 13th and Washington Sts. would be replaced within ten days. So far your word has been useless.

Trying to cross Washington St. at this intersection either on foot or in a car, can be hazardous to your health. During the AM rush hour the buses [both Academy and New Jersey Transit] block part of 13th St. so people and cars have to go around them.

So far no one has been injured and there have been no accidents, but you are really tempting fate. One accident or injury could prove very costly to the city, and the responsibility for this lack of action stops at your desk.

It would be in your best interest to take a walk around the Second Ward soon, just to hear what the people are saying about this fiasco.
