Dear Editor:
I was very surprised to read in your paper that the concept of bringing a Bed & Breakfast to Hoboken has been withdrawn before the Zoning Board.
I am a 12-year resident of Hoboken and for all of these years I have lived between 9th and 10th Streets, first on Garden, now on Willow. I very much support and would welcome the Flinn’s B&B in this neighborhood.
From the very beginning, they have run “Amanda’s” with thoughtfulness and consideration for their neighbors. Amanda’s is a jewel in Hoboken! I am sure the Flinns would apply the same quality principles to operating an eight-room Bed & Breakfast.
For my own purposes, I would love to offer comfortable, close-by accommodations to my out-of-town visitors who must now stay in Weehawken or Jersey City or endure my rickety pull-out couch.
I would ask the Zoning Board and those involved in the rewriting of Hoboken’s new master plan to give serious and thoughtful consideration to approving the Flinn’s Bread & Breakfast project.
