Dear Editor:
The reason I am writing is I have this idea for the North Hudson Fire Department. They should purchase a portable black light and when they are called to a building with all the pull boxes pulled they should go to each floor where the pull box has been pulled and knock on each door where children live and say let me see your hands and put this blacklight next to the child and see if their hands show that they pulled the fire box. That would crack down on all the false alarms in a lot of these buildings in West New York and Union City, North Bergen, Weehawken and Jersey City. Because I hear that these poor firemen are pulled away from their families because of a false alarm. I have a 200 channel scanner and I listen to it every time there is a false alarm. So I think that would put a stop to these false alarms.
