My privilege to support the Weehawken and You Team

Dear Editor:

It is an honor to represent the Township of Weehawken in the New Jersey Legislature as the State Senator for the 33rd Legislative District. Over the years, I have worked with Mayor Richard Turner and the Weehawken City Council on a variety of issues such as transportation, affordable housing, environmental concerns, Green Acres and open space matters. Without a doubt, Mayor Turner, Jim Terlizzi, Lou Ferullo, Rosemary Lavagnino and Bob Sosa are among the most dedicated and responsive people serving in public office that I know.

Indeed, Mayor Turner and the Weehawken and You Team are highly regarded in Trenton and are known as representing New Jersey municipal government at its finest. It is only when state and local government can work successfully together that a municipality and its citizens can prosper. That is why I urge you to cast your vote for Mayor Turner, a man of integrity and competence, and his running mates. With this fine group of people working for the people of Weehawken, your township will continue to be governed by the best for the benefit of all.

It is indeed a privilege to express my support of the Weehawken and You team. I ask that on Tuesday, May 14 you cast your vote for the candidates who have represented Weehawken so well.

Bernard F. Kenny, Jr.
Senator, 33rd District
