Manufacturer salutes classic Goof Offs

People who take life easy like to point out that Sir Isaac Newton was struck by the principle of gravity while napping under an apple tree. Columbus took off for a cruise to India and ended up discovering America. Alexander Fleming might never have turned up penicillin’s antibiotic properties if he’d bothered to keep the Petri dishes from stacking up in his laboratory sink.

Let’s salute those fruitful accidents in honor of National Goof Off Day, celebrated on March 22, with the goof off mantra: Never expend more energy than you need to accomplish your goals.

That principle certainly applies to cleaning up after painting projects around the house. Why scrape and scrub those stubborn latex paint splatters and drips when you can Goof Off?

Billed as "The Ultimate Remover," Goof Off quickly and easily removes latex paint from practically any surface….

Goof Off is the lazy person’s choice for cleaning spray equipment, removing paint and tar from automobiles, cleaning tools and removing paint from clothes…

Take 10 minutes to clean up those drips and splatters. Your spouse will be impressed – as long as you don’t mention you were just Goofing Off. Then, take a nice not bath in honor of another famous goof-off, Archimedes, the mathematician of ancient Greece who discovered the concept of measuring volume through water displacement while soaking in the tub.
