Dear Editor:
I’ve been a Union City resident for 29 years, I have two boys and I must say it is very difficult to find out about extra curriculum activities offered in Union City. Every city surrounding us has placed an ad in the local news paper pertaining to tee-ball and other sports, asking parents to sign up their kids. When I went about asking in Union City, no one seemed to know. I called the board of education and City Hall and they all gave me the run around. In my opinion, in order to teach your children not to be in the streets, you need to teach them early to be in sports and other activities. I’m sorry to say that Union City makes it very hard for parents to teach their kids that there are other things to look forward to.
