Businesses aren’t obligated to let you use their johns

Dear Editor:

In response to David Alexander’s letter about the woman that refused you the use of her facilities to relieve yourself.

Let me reply to your probably exaggerated remarks.

This woman or any other business owner is not obligated to serve you or any other of the 35,000 citizens of Hoboken for the use of their facilities.

A purchase of a soda, tea or a bag of chips would have saved you this embarrassment.

As a friend and customer of this woman for 50 years and a resident of Hoboken for 76 years, I’m taking it upon myself and her family, friends, employees and customers to apologize to you for your embarrassment. I’m sure she has not read your article nor will she see mine due to her deteriorating macula degeneration; so please accept our apology, and don’t forget your diapers.
