Your acts of kindness will never be forgotten

Dear Editor:

On October 14, after a long and difficult battle, my sister Karen succumbed to cancer. She left behind two children, a grieving family and many caring, generous friends. There are too many of you to possibly thank individually for your support, prayers and donations. Your overwhelming outpour of love meant so much to my family and truly helped to comfort us and ease the enormous pain we felt. At the same time, your generosity did so much to relieve the financial burden we were obviously faced with. Many of you helped in the past and continued to help right up to the end. So, again I say "thank you."

Special thanks must go to Father Bob, St. Lawrence Church and Oscar’s Restaurant for hosting and sponsoring the repast held at this fine establishment. Another act of kindness that will never be forgotten.

Thank you, also to our friend, Chief Robert DelPriore for arranging the motorcycle escort for Karen’s trip to her final resting place. These escorts, Lt. Jeff Fulcher and P.O. Jason Czornimore helped make this trip much easier for her family.

Finally, I would like to give my thanks and personal gratitude to Mayor Richard Turner and his wife, Eileen for their support and indefatigable efforts to assist me and my family during these difficult times. They, and all of you, will always be remembered in our prayers.

Elaine Flood
