Dear Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that assisted me with my campaign for 2nd Ward Councilman. A special thanks to Mayor Dennis Elwell and all of the members of Team Elwell for their support and encouragement. This experience has allowed me to meet many new people and to make many new friends.
My decision to run for Town Council was based upon my love for this wonderful town and my desire to give something back to the community. This commitment and desire has not been tempered by the results of the November 6 election. In fact, my desire to be actively involved in our community has actually been strengthened.
During my campaign, I had an opportunity to meet many of the residents of the 2nd Ward. I also had an opportunity to hear about many of the challenges that the town may face in the future. This was an enlightening and truly exhilarating experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you to all of the residents of the 2nd Ward for your hospitality and good wishes.
Finally, I would like to congratulate my opponent, John Bueckner, on his re-election as 2nd Ward Councilman.
