Dear Editor:
New York State has a landmark commission that has helped to save many historical and architectural important buildings.
Entire streets are designated by brown street signs signifying that the entire street is a "landmark" district. This means that if the owner or developer plans to proceed with any alterations to his property, he must first go through the commission for their approval.
I feel that this is long time overdue and is the only way we as concerned individuals can save and preserve what’s historically important in Hoboken.
