Dear Editor:
We are entered into time the moment we are born into this life.
A life filled with pleasures and strife.
From the moment we are born, to the hour we die
On time we must constantly rely.
In our youth we thought we had so much of it.
Only to find in maturity, there is never enough of it.
As the hours of our lifetime drift away;
We hope time will allow us just another day.
But when we finally run out of time,
Both figuratively and literally,
I pray O Lord to have mercy on me.
For I have done my time here, you see.
So take my hand, Lord, and lead me into eternity.
