Sunday, September 16:

Break out your soft-soled saddle shoes. The Hoboken Swing Scene will be practicing at Maxwell’s from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Later that night, El Vez and Shelby Bryant will be performing at the club. The show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $12. Craig Dreyer will be at Scotland Yard at 9:30 p.m.

Monday, September 17:

Blue Monday getting to you? Scotland Yard is having its weekly Blues Jam with Big Ed Sullivan. The show begins at 9:30 p.m. The Clean and The Orange Peels will be at Maxwell’s. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.

Tuesday, September 18:

Ken Stringfellow of the Posies will be at Maxwell’s. The show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $8. Ristra is hosting its weekly open mic night, HIPnotized, from 8 p.m. to midnight. The evening will feature visual arts, live acoustic music, spoken word, comedy and improv. The cover charge for patrons 21 and over is $3, and it’s $5 for ages 18 to 20. The Wonder Drugs will be at the Whiskey Bar. Also, Lil’ Mama will be at Scotland Yard at 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday, September 19:

The Young Dubliners and the Mike Plume Band will be at Maxwell’s at 9 p.m. Tickets are $8. Moose and the Bullet Proof Blues Band will be at Scotland Yard. Liberty Bar is hosting its weekly Acoustic Music Showcase, where there’s no cover. Peach Fish will be at the Whiskey Bar. Also, it’s Swing Night at Willie McBride’s beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, September 20:

Robert Randolph will be at Maxwell’s. The show stars at 9 p.m. Tickets are $12. Dog Voices will be at the Whiskey Bar. It’s Lik-Wid Jam (open mic) night at Willie McBride’s. Artists, poets, musicians and freaks are welcome. Sign up starts at 9 p.m. There is no cover. Also, it’s "Karaoke and DJ" night at the Liberty Bar & Grill, so head over and sing your heart out.

Friday, September 21:

Dave Edmunds and Buck Tooth Johnson will be back at Maxwell’s. The show stars at 10 p.m. Tickets are $15. Mr. North will be at the Whiskey Bar. Anthony’s Cafe & Restaurant is hosting Friday Dance Nights. Beginning at 11 p.m., DJ Emilio from Studio 54 will mix music from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. And at 10:30 p.m. there will be live music at House of Blues, where there’s never a cover.

Saturday, September 22:

Dead Moon, Knoxville Girls and The Mad Daddys will be at Maxwell’s. The show starts at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $10. MMMM… will be at the Whiskey Bar. And as always, Joe Taino will be leading the Blues Jam at Scotland Yard from 4 to 7 p.m.
