Dear Editor:
On Sunday morning I watch talk shows on television of all the elected candidates running for public office. They all pledge their opinions of government issue with a vision of success. But we senior citizens have a message for all politicians of both parties. Please don’t touch our Social Security checks, we want our checks secure by the Social Security Administration, and that means hands off!
I’m a senior myself; we are the grassroots of America. We’re the most reliable voting group that elect candidates in this country. I believe let’s keep fighting for the things that matter to us like preserving Medicare and providing health insurance and prescription drugs. We must maintain assistance to the older population with dignity and independence with no false promise because we seniors have value and principle with compassion and being a community of caring for people.
I have one thing to say, I believe if you tell the truth, you don’t need a good memory!
