Dear Editor:
I am writing to inform you about the issue on global warming. This issue is really important because if we don’t do something about this now the world will perish from heat. As a student attending the Weehawken High School I do not want to drink bad water and breathe polluted air in the future.
As I was looking through one article Mr. Hammer gave us about George W. Bush’s budget plan, I saw that he cut $2.3 billion in global warming research and air and water protections. This is a real problem because we need that research now. Plus he gave $180 million to school guards. Will the school guards protect us when we don’t have to go to school because of heat and massive flooding.
In conclusion what I think of President Bush is that he should take environment matters more seriously and use money wisely. Our world is like a baby, it is very fragile, and we now have proof that we are harming it, maybe beyond repair.
