Roberts doesn’t have a clue about our issues or how to solve them

Dear Editor:

If you read the newspapers carefully, you will understand why Dave Roberts is totally unqualified to lead the City of Hoboken. In fact, he doesn’t have a clue about the real issues or any possible real solutions.

Take the recent controversy over diverting traffic around the city during morning rush hours. Mayor Anthony Russo is talking about 4,000 commuters who use Hoboken as a pass-through community while headed somewhere else. Roberts wants to blame the problem on poor development planning. What has development to do with “pass-through” commuter traffic?

Between Jersey City, Weehawken and Union City, we now have an additional 23,000 residents in our bordering towns who add to the pass-through traffic flow in our community. It’s also interesting to note that the only people complaining are the out-of-towners who don’t give a damn about us, the greedy Port Authority and their ga-ching ga-ching cash register tolls and the mindless Hoboken United candidates who are always ready to criticize but never have a solution.
