Wouldn’t it be nice?

Dear Editor:

Regardless of who is in office after the election, I would love to see an end to Hoboken vehicles (medical services, city of Hoboken, etc.) being used for seemingly personal reasons–picking up the driver’s children, stopping by the post office….Also, it would be nice to feel that services such as those for the elderly are available to all in Hoboken who qualify, and that phone calls to their offices will be answered in a welcoming, helpful manner regardless of whether the caller is a friend of a friend….

And do we really need to be paying for a public information officer (i.e. spinner)?

Lastly, how about vows of no payments for election “helpers”–a system that has at least the appearance of vote-buying, with lines of low-income people collecting their payments regularly the day after elections. (If you accept money, please don’t feel you have to vote for that person!)
