Rotary Club prez attends seminar

John Parchinsky Jr., president-elect of the Hoboken Rotary Club, recently attended the multi-district Presidents Elect Training Seminar held in Bethlehem, Pa. The seminar was held over two days on March 15 and 16 by Rotary District 7490, which represents Rotary Clubs from Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties, with four other districts from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. John will take office as president on July 1 of this year and will serve for a full year until June 30, 2002.

Rotary International is the largest provider of scholarships in the world, is the leading non-governmental organization in the worldwide fight against Polio, brings children to the United States for life-saving heart operations through the Gift of Life, sends teams of plastic surgeons to South America to perform reconstructive surgery through Rotaplast, and does much more.

The Hoboken Rotary club not only supports these worthwhile activities, but creates and implements many community projects.
