Dear Editor:
A recent news article that quoted me as saying “Don’t Fire E. Troy Washington” needs to be clarified.
I did not nor will I ever say not to fire him; however, I did say that getting rid of him for political reasons is wrong. The board of commissioners are the only ones who have the power to fire him. I take pride in being a tenant advocate, and whatever is in the best interest of the residents is my one and only aim.
I’m not on Washington’s side, but I am on the side of right, and politics in the HHA is absolutely wrong.
