Thank you for giving me such a nice place to hang my hat!

Dear Editor:

The reason I am writing is I would like to thank the West New York Housing Authority for being so nice to me. I have been living at 6300 Adams Street for three years now, and I would like to point out the following staff: Barbara, Jose, Tony, Mike, Ricky, Hecter, and the staff at 6100 Adams and the Executive Director Robert DiVincent, and the very nice person who showed me my apartment, Jose and Magda Alfonso. Everyone of you should get a big hand for doing a fine job.

Each winter it snows and they are out cleaning the sidewalks and each fall, they are outside racking up the leaves. So I would like to say that the West New York Authority is the best. I also want to thank Tony for coming to Christ Hospital when I was there in December of 1997 and for bringing me the lease for me to sign. I left a very bad situation and thank God that apartment was still free, and I moved in on December 1, 1997. I have been living here ever since.

I also want to say that it is very good that West New York is getting all of these grants for more affordable housing for the disabled and for the senior citizens, but I hope the new affordable houses are not built on hills. I hope they are being built on flat surfaces because I am only thinking of the disabled and the senior citizens that have a hard enough problem walking up hills. So once again, I would like to take this time out to say thank you for giving me a nice place to live.
