Thank you all for making ‘On the Waterfront’ production such a great success

On behalf of the Hoboken Division of Cultural Affairs and everyone involved in the “On the Waterfront” production, which took place this past August in Frank Sinatra Park, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make this producition such a great success including: Mayor Anthony Russo, the Hoboken City Council and the Directors for the City of Hoboken, Tim Calligy, George Crimmins and Robert Drasheff; Robert Janiszewski, the Hudson County Executive and the Board of Chosen Freeholders for their generous support in making this Millennium event such a great success; Maurice Fitzgibbons, County Freeholder for the City of Hoboken and William LaRosa, Director of The Hudson County Division of Cultural & Heritage Affairs for going that extra mile; to screenwriter and playwright Budd Schulberg whose talents have brought us this great tale of life on the Hoboken Waterfront docks; Director Kelly Patton;the wonderful cast and crew, Kevin Breslin, Tony Cucci, Lee Davis, Ralph DeMatthews, Mark Fallon, Joseph Gallo, Michael Giorgio, Tony Grant, Brock Hart, Edward Kassar, Geoffrey Molloy, Vincent Pastore, Bob Quinn, Jerry Rago, Janan Raouf, Herbert Rubens, Charles Rucker, Charles Sammarco and David Sitler who all so generously donated their time and talents; Pierre Manieri and everyone in the Division of Parks; John Colgrove and everyone in the Division of Public Works; the original cast members from the 1954 film “On the Waterfront”, Tom Hanley, Tony Amato, Matt Russo and Mike Rubino; special thanks for helping to Feed the Actor’s goes to Kathy Burke from the Irish Pub in Atlantic City, Hoboken Eddie and Truglio’s Meat Market; thanks to David Anthony, Paulie and everyone at the Frank Sinatra Park Cafe for putting up with us for three days; Peter Ernst and the Waterfront Ensemble; David Zimmerman, Carl Russell, Michael Chladil and everyone at DeBaun Auditorium, Stevens Institute of Technology; A&P, Jim Beckerman, Jonathan Butler, Irwin Chusid, Tony Conforti, Greg Gallo, Migdalia Pagan, Shavaun Pizar, Joanne Buonarota, Sharon Curko, Lenny Luizzi and Bob Foster from The Hoboken Historical Museum.

We hope to make this a yearly celebration and know with the support like this we can’t lose. We hope to see you again next summer.
