Dear Editor:
It is with great enthusiasm that I announce my support for Bob Menendez’s campaign for reelection to the United States House of Representatives. While this endorsement may come as no surprise, there can be no doubt that Bob Menendez is the strongest candidate for the job and has represented Hoboken well for nearly a decade.
Bob Menendez is a true friend of Hoboken and all of New Jersey. He cares deeply about the people he represents and has been an active participant in the revitalization of North Jersey. He is a proponent of seniors’ rights, especially when it comes to health care, prescription drug benefits and Social Security and has worked tirelessly to improve our public education system and bring federal dollars to our neighborhoods to create open space. He makes himself available to all constituents and fights for them in Washington.
It is refreshing in today’s world to have someone so accomplished be so grounded, especially in his principles and integrity. As a Hoboken elected official, it is important to me that Bob is willing to work with us to accomplish the goals of our community, and I look forward to working with Congressman Bob Menendez for another two years and beyond. I urge everyone to come out on November 7 and vote for Bob Menendez and the entire Column A team, which includes Jon Corzine for Senate and the Gore-Lieberman ticket.
