Two sets of building standards

Dear Editor:

I am glad to see that John had a good relationship with Al Arezzo. However, I haven’t seen that much horse dung slung since the circus was in town.

As the Zoning Officer for the City of Hoboken for six years, I can tell you that no one has ever accused me of “looking to go around the law.” On the contrary, I was often charged with being overly rigid in my implementation of the zoning and building laws. Unfortunately, John’s opinion enforces the adage that “a little knowledge is dangerous.” Perhaps, before casting disparaging remarks about people, he should check out all of the facts.

This response just enforces my argument that there are two sets of standards being applied by the Hoboken building inspector.
