Dear Editor:
This past East Sunday my husband suffered a massive stroke and was rushed to St. Mary Hospital. He was in a coma and lost movement on his left side. Due to the excellent care he was given, he not only survived but regained his movement.
We would like to publicly thank everyone involved that night and the month that followed.
The Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance staff, who although were on a fire scene, responded quickly. The emergency staff, who attended to my husband. A special thanks to both 3 north (ICU) and to 5 north for all their care, concern and compassion. These people became family to me throughout the month my husband was in the hospital. Lastly, to the transport crew, kitchen, cafeteria and security personnel, who all helped me personally by caring. If it wasn’t for all of the above, my husband wouldn’t be celebrating his 51st birthday on October 18.
If anyone ever has a doubt about the care given at St. Mary Hospital, my husband is living proof that St. Mary is a very caring and giving hospital. Thank you all.
The Morrissette Family
