I cannot express enough about Mayor Richard Turner. He made it possible for all the children in Weehawken, as well as Union City, to fill up their summer in Weehawken parks.There were arts and crafts in the morning. And Yolanda and Chelsea were wonderful with the children. In the afternoon they had a great lunch and had the showers on from morning until late afternoon. And all the wonderfuf trips for children. In Weehawken Stadium there was a fair at which children won lots of prizes and free hot dogs, sodas, popcorn and watermelons.
My granddaughter Shana Rose Aria had a wonderful. summer because of Mayor Richard Turner. The people who took care of Gregory Park, JoAnn Landi, Marie, Vanessa and Tom worked very hard taking care of things. And also, Cathy McCall always kept the park very clean.
