Dear Editor: Why don’t Reno and Clinton just use the same final solution for Elian Gonzales as they did at Waco? Like they did to save the children of Waco from evil, they could first have ATF strafe Little Havana with helicopter machine-gun fire to soften the area. Firing down some flash bangs, tear gas and smoke grenades should effectively scare away any surviving Elian supporters. Restricting the press and media a few miles away from such danger, perhaps moving them all to Ft. Lauderdale, would again eliminate any witnesses. U.S. Delta Force commandos could then set up their final assault without fear of questions about their Constitutionally prohibited actions, and could move in their tanks to inject poison gas and kerosene into Elian’s home. A few shaped explosive charges to level the property and one or two incendiary rockets should easily set it on fire. As shown by the now available infrared videotape of the FBI in action against the Branch Davidians, Reno and Clinton could have the FBI machine-gun any undesired Cuban survivors (witnesses) as they run from the flames. Like the dozens of children at Waco who were gassed, burned and machine-gunned, Elian probably would not survive, but such action would bring the event to a close, and Clinton’s popularity would once again soar as a world leader.
